MEF International Schools reflects the recognized quality of the MEF brand of education on an international scale. MEF International Schools help students from all over the world to explore, learn and discover the world under a program of education that centers on knowledge, skills and behavior.


At MEF International Schools, the children of foreign nationals living in Istanbul are offered the opportunity to benefit from an international curriculum where the language of instruction is English. Education is provided at all levels, from kindergarten and preschool through primary and middle school to high school.

MEF International Schools are International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge accredited, and offer high achieving students the opportunity to take the IB or Cambridge programs in high school.

The preschool and the primary school, which encompasses grades one through five, hosts students coming from 40 different countries and provides them with an international education based on the IB Primary Years Program (PYP).

The middle and the high school encompass grades six through 12 and hosts students from 46 different countries. Students are offered international programs including the Cambridge program and the IB Diploma Program, which enable them to enter higher education programs at the world's leading universities.

MEF International School, Istanbul, is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It is also an ECIS (European Council of International Schools) member.


After Istanbul, MEF went on to introduce Izmir to its programs of teaching and learning following international standards. MEF International School, Izmir, was established in the school year 2004-2005, and continues to serve the children of foreign nationals based in the city with MEF’s expertise in the field of education. MEF International School, Izmir, is proud to be a Cambridge Center and a member of ECIS.

The primary school of MEF International School, Izmir, has a pre-school and grades one through five. Students who come from 27 different countries are offered the Cambridge International Program and a second foreign language courses in French, Spanish and Turkish.  

MEF International School, Izmir, hosts middle and high school students from 25 different countries in grades six through 12. Students are offered Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSEs, AS and A level classes which enable them to continue their education in leading universities abroad.
